Kasai North America is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kasai Kogyo Co. Ltd, a Japanese automotive component supplier based out of Samukawa, Kanagawa, Japan. Kasai globally employs over 10,000 personnel in support of customers on multiple continents. Founded in 1912, the company started as a textile company and evolved into automotive manufacturing in 1949 producing components for doors. Since 1949, Kasai has evolved into becoming a leading manufacturer for door trims , headliners , and luggage trims . The company has a global footprint serving our customers in the regions of Asia, North America, North Africa, and Europe.
Kasai?s North America presence was established in 1984 as a company named M-TEK in order to support the growing manufacturing presence in the Southeastern region of the United States. Our flagship plant in Manchester, Tennessee was the first of many to be built to support our customers in the United States and Canada. Since 2016, M-TEK was reformed as Kasai North America, Inc. and the headquarters was established in Murfreesboro, TN.
