The automotive industry is going through stormy times. And our locations in three European countries, as well as our headquarters in Finland, are feeling the wind of change. But when it comes to facing complex challenges, we organize our team and work as if we were in the eye of the storm. With clarity, an overview of the situation and a focus on what matters most, we continually keep calm. Which is necessary for guaranteeing the highest quality and most secure processes for our customers.
Proof that we are in the right spot is seen in the numerous honors we have received, such as the Best Partner Award from Mercedes-Benz in 2017. It is what motivates our currently 3,700 employees to step up to the plate in our three businesses MANUFACTURING, ELECTRIFYING and ACTUATING.

Valmet Automotive is a multilateral specialist whose three main areas of business develop their own services and foster their own customer relations. At the same time, they complement their resources so precisely and perfectly that many customers are able to leverage an overarching range of services. Like e-drive engineering, now part of our strategy more than ever before. A strategy that gives us all a significant boost into tomorrow.
Across all business lines and throughout the entire strategy of Valmet Automotive, electrification and electric mobility play a leading role. It only makes sense that we follow a strict sustainability strategy from the inside of the company, too. As a system supplier of battery systems, we aim to make a contribution to climate-friendly mobility ? in the short term for the long run. This means we will be working carbon-neutral in our car plant in Uusikaupunki, Finland starting in 2021. And in the entire company by 2024.
